President Musharaf has resigned today in a televised speech that started around 1:10 PM local time. There is a blend of emotions and feedback that is generally being observed. Some people are sad, some happy. Time will decide whether this state of happiness will prevail or stumble....

These days I am pretty much occupied in wrapping up my stuff, or rather, cleaning up my room, wardrobe, closet, cupboard, book shelf and "trash" chest. One thing I have discovered, I have got tons and tons of "trash" buried deep everywhere in my room. I have prepared two big bags of disposed papers, documents, print-outs, drafts, used notebooks, etc....

With the ongoing and ever-increasing inflation hitting the nation, we approach the independence day celebrations. 14th August 1947 was the day Pakistan got independence and was idealized to be the torch-bearer for other Muslim nations. Are we there yet? Have we deviated from our Great Quaid's vision for Pakistan?Today, we stand at the verge of breaking our nation into pieces....

Wet rain, all the way...

Rain was expected since quite sometime in Karachi. The weather had generally been very kind and polite during previous days with its usual turn offs now and then. Finally the sky started leaking its water on the beautiful land of Karachiites yesterday. The cloudy weather started to drizzle on and off as if still deciding whether to rain or not....
